Request Category Form

Hello,

Would it be possible for us to amend the Request Category form so that when a category is selected, we could have an override to show some text, based on the category name?  Similar to how overrides work on customised forms, but so the text appears underneath the category list, rather than on the next screen?

Many thanks,
Alisha

Hi @Alisha

Adding an ''override'' feature to the standard forms would be quite a bit of work.  Also, the idea behind the out of box forms is that they are fairly simple and require very little config to use.  Maybe as an alternative we could look to see if we could use the Category Description text.

We could expose it here...

What do you think?  Would this work for you?

James

Hi @James Ainsworth,

I was wondering if this could be revisited please.

Whilst the description field is useful, we find that it doesn't work on the top level categories as the customer can't select a top level category. In this instance, a tool tip that appears when they hover over the category would be very helpful.

Many thanks,
Alisha
