Profiles - can't add a new Closure Category

I'm trying to add a new Closure profile for a new team, but I'm getting an error saying: The Specified code includes characters that are not allowed for this code set.

I've got the code set to autogenerate, but it doesn't seem to matter what I type I get the same error. 

Is there a limit on how many closure 'groups' we can have? Or is this something else?

I have come across the same issue on my instance and raised this with our development team.  I'll keep testing in case there is something I missed or a workaround available.

This issue is to do with this  Code Allowed Chars field.  When empty I believe that this should default to allow the following characters:  abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789

For some reason it is not picking up this default list of characters.  As a workaround you can add this string of characters to the Code Allowed Chars field and save.  Following that you should be able to add your category.

That's worked perfectly (after I remembered to 'save' the 'Code Allowed Chars' first
