StephGill
When viewing tasks as project user, you have the ability to update the timeline as well as complete the task. If you view the same task in your My Activities list, you cannot update the timeline and when you complete the activity, the completion notes do not then show on the project task. The audit tab on the project task is also not updated. For us, this would mean all users would need a project user subscription just to update and complete tasks, which would be extremely costly. Is there any development work in place to address this, or can it be added to your list please.
AlexTumber
@stepghg thanks for your post. The addition of a timeline is a feature of tasks in Hornbill Project Manager. I see what you mean regarding the popup view when opening a Project Task from the Right Hand Side. This appears to be a bug and should be opening the Project Task view of the popup. I have passed this to our development team to look at. Alex
AlexTumber
@stepghg project tasks are also only assignable to project stakeholders. With this bug as it is, it's technically possible to assign a project task to a user that does not have a Project Manager role/subscription. Once this bug is fixed, this will no longer be possible. I've also asked our development team to look at the auditing on project tasks as this also appears to be a bug. Alex
