Shamaila.Yousaf Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 We are in the process with creating a business process for mobile phone requests. As part of the process the details are sent to the authorises to approve or reject. I am looking to create a view for the authorisation reject and authorisation authorised however; the authorisation column is not listed - any ideas?
James Ainsworth Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 Hi @shamaila.yousaf Thanks for your post. I had a quick look and the Authorisation that is flagged as part of a BPM workflow does not seem to be available on the request list as a column. I'll look into having it added. Regards, James 1
Shamaila.Yousaf Posted January 22, 2019 Author Posted January 22, 2019 @James Ainsworth do you have an update for me please? I appreciate you are busy.
James Ainsworth Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 Hi @Shamaila.Yousaf I have raised a change request for this and linked yourself and this post to it. It has been added to our backlog. I'll update this post if there are any updates to the progress of this change. Regards, James 1
Shamaila.Yousaf Posted February 26, 2019 Author Posted February 26, 2019 @James Ainsworth do you have an update on this for me please? Thanks everso.
Dan Munns Posted February 26, 2019 Posted February 26, 2019 @Shamaila.Yousaf if you are creating a view you could output the 'authorised' / 'rejected' outcome to a custom field and add that as a custom column to the view you make. Just a quick suggestion as a work around until the same is available from the devs.
Shamaila.Yousaf Posted March 8, 2019 Author Posted March 8, 2019 @Dan Munnsmaybe a silly question but how will I know which custom field it is? Regards Sxx
Steve Giller Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 @Shamaila.Yousaf You choose which field you output the result into, so you'll know which one to add to the view.
Shamaila.Yousaf Posted March 8, 2019 Author Posted March 8, 2019 Thanks @Steve Gillerwhere can I locate the field we chose with the output?...Is it in the Business Process somewhere then? Also moving forward, is there an automated list somewhere i can retrieve where we have used the custom fields?
Dan Munns Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 @Shamaila.Yousaf in the business process you would have an 'update request details>custom fields' node to pick up the outcome of the authorisation task and map it to a custom field of your choosing. Then just add that custom field to your custom view, update the display name of the column and that's that. As for showing all current used custom fields in a BPM, I don't think that is possible at the moment.
Shamaila.Yousaf Posted March 8, 2019 Author Posted March 8, 2019 Thanks, i understand now. So I need to select the custom field as an outcome? This is what i see (if i am in the correct bit), do i click on edit and add field? Upon doing so I can't see where i would select the custom field. No worries, I am due to discuss with Dan on Monday so will have him arrange. Regards Sxx
Dan Munns Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 @Shamaila.Yousaf you will need to add nodes to update the custom field after the authorisation node: If you then add the custom field to the view (Custom Field A in the example above) then it will show as one of three things: Blank if the process hasn't reached this point, authorised or rejected depending on the authorisation node outcome. 1

Shamaila.Yousaf Posted November 18, 2019 Author Posted November 18, 2019 @James Ainsworth thank you for arranging. @Dan Munns @Steve Giller thank you for your responses also:)
