Hi,

How can I export the Asset view, from Asset Manager, to a csv file?

If this is not possible where/which table is this view pulling from:

Thanks.

It should be h_cmdb_assets. If you use "entities" in your report, the entity for this is, obviously,  "Asset" :)

Thanks @Victor.

Didn't think was that easy. I was trying to join tables :D

Still it will be nice if we can export from Asset view, or be able to create various view, like on request.  Has this been requested?

Hi @Joyce

Yes, we do have some changes in our backlog to add some of the same features to the Asset List as you find on the Request List.  This will include more filters, Views, and an option to export to CSV.

I'll add you to the change and we will update this post as it progresses.

James

In addition to the Export feature, as part of the Service Manager update build 1944 (and newer) we have added additional options in the Asset tool bar:

Views
Based on each Asset Class you can now define and save unique Views to display assets that meet defined criteria. Select the columns to display for each View that you create.

Home Button
Once you have your Views defined, you can apply one of these Views to your Home Button to make sure that each time you view your Assets, you are presented with the information that is most important to you.

Advanced Filter
Looking for something specific? The Advanced Filter lets you search on the details of any asset.

I hope this helps.

James
