Martyn Houghton
Prompted by @samwoo post (below) I am looking at the Software Asset as we may be able to make use of this feature, but I seem to be falling at the first hurdle in that when I attempt to create a sample asset to check the fields/capabilities for Software type, the 'New Asset' drop down does not list 'Software', even though it is an option in the filter when viewing assets. I check the simple lists to see if there was a managing list that need to be updated, but to no avail. I sure I missing something simple, but any clues? samwoo
@Martyn Houghton, What do you have under the Software heading available here?https://live.hornbill.com/[INSTANCENAME]/servicemanager/asset/types/ (replace [INSTANCENAME] with your instance) Software is the Class and the individual types are created against it, and looking at your list is likely to be Desktop App, Mobile App etc. Thanks, Samuel
Martyn Houghton
@samwoo Thanks, I can see now where I have gone wrong 'Software' is the class and Desktop/Mobile App (which are in the type drop down) are instances of the Class. Martyn Houghton
Now probably another dumb question, but where do you set up the linked list of Products and Versions? Cheers Martyn

Cheers Martyn Hi @Martyn Houghton, To do this you need to hover over the arrow in Assets Menu and click Manage Asset Types Navigate to the Software region and click on the + icon on the right hand side of the region header Set up to your hearts content
