Nikolaj Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Hello Support, When we create a project via a project Template with Tasks and Milestones included. The project will stay in draft until the Project is approved and it starts. Now my question is it possible to show the task of a project in "my Activities" only if the project is active? Best Regards Nikolaj
AlexTumber Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 @Nikolaj correct me if I'm wrong here; Are you basically saying that you'd only like the tasks to be created/become visible once the project becomes active? Alex
Nikolaj Posted October 24, 2018 Author Posted October 24, 2018 Good Morning @AlexTumber Yes that is right. For example we are creating projects who are in pipeline for the next year or month. So the Status is in draft and the Sub Status is in pipeline. These Projects have all Tasks and Milestones attached for the Project Manager because we have some of them in our templates. Now the project Manager get this kind of tasks in his Activities view but the project is still in draft ( not started). If the Project Portfolio Manager or the Project Controller will switch the status to active then he can start with it and only then he will get this kind of tasks, otherwise it is confusing a bit. Best regards Nikolaj 1
AlexTumber Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 @Nikolaj this all makes sense. I can see why this is confusing and why a change in behaviour here would be beneficial. I will speak to our development and product teams about this. Alex
