Darren Rose
Hello Would it be possible to have the option to create views in Asset Manager, in the same way you can in Service Manager? Could it also be possible to export these results as a CSV too, just like in SM? Thanks Darren
Steven Boardman
Hi @Darren Rose we have a story to introduce this, i have added you to the other customers who are also looking for this. This will help with it's prioritisation and we will post back here once it progresses and is scheduled

James Ainsworth
As part of the Service Manager update build 1944 (and newer) we have added additional options in the Asset tool bar: ViewsBased on each Asset Class you can now define and save unique Views to display assets that meet defined criteria. Select the columns to display for each View that you create.Home ButtonOnce you have your Views defined, you can apply one of these Views to your Home Button to make sure that each time you view your Assets, you are presented with the information that is most important to you.Advanced FilterLooking for something specific? The Advanced Filter lets you search on the details of any asset. I hope this helps. Regards, James

Will the ability to share Asset Views be available at some point? 2. Can you advise on how to search (or exclude) assets used by "Shared" users? James Ainsworth
Hi Samuel, 2 hours ago, samwoo said: Will the ability to share Asset Views be available at some point? This is not currently planned for development. We will monitor feedback and requests for this feature and based on this we can look at this in the future. I'd recommend posting this or other additional features as a new topic on the forums. 2 hours ago, samwoo said: Can you advise on how to search (or exclude) assets used by "Shared" users? On an asset if you use a View or Advanced Search, the Used By condition, this will return results where the user is either directly listed under the Used By field or the asset is shared with them. Hope that helps. Regards, James

Thanks @James Ainsworth for your response. Hope others see the benefit of shared views in the Assets View. I quoted a part of your post above, I cannot seem to exclude any assets that are "Shared" - any ideas? Thanks, Samuel
James Ainsworth
Just to confirm, you would like to display a list of assets where the shared toggle has not been enabled? Or are you wanting to display a list of assets that are used by a specific person, but exclude the assets that are shared with them?
samwoo
Hi @James Ainsworth, Both would in fact be useful, but in this case I am looking at returning a list of all Computer Assets (for example) but I want to exclude any Assets that are "Shared" from being visible in the list. Similarly I would like to do the same in reverse, to only return Assets that are "Shared". Thanks, Samuel

Martyn Houghton
+1 for us as well
Adam Toms
+1 for us as well, please. Being able to customise and share within teams, like we can with request list views, would be a huge benefit.
Gareth Cantrell
When creating a view in the Asset manager, it is not possible to share this with other teams or users as is the case in the Request List. Could we please look at extending the shared views concept to Assets as well.
Steve Giller
I've merged various requests asking for the same enhancement.
