Guest Paul Alexander
Hello I'm very happy that we can now add and update the text on the 'add attachments' node...however I have a bit of a nag! The settings on this new node mean that I have to now go through EVERY ProgCapt that I've created which contains an 'Add Attachment' node and an 'Add asset' node and make sure there is at least SOME text to point the user in the right direction as to what is expected of them. I can't actually remember, but I'm sure that the previous incarnation of the nodes had some sort of indication of what we were looking for. I'm not sure if there's a way of finding out which Pro Capts contain one of these nodes, but it means I now have to go through every PC to check if I need to do an update. As the majority of these nodes are there for the same reason, is there somewhere that we can add a 'default text' so that I don't have to go through every one and add the same text to the 'info message' on each one individually please? thanks Paul
Steven Boardman
Hi @Paul Alexander Nothing has changed for your existing forms, and you won't need to find and update any unless you want to add some text. So by default they will all still show like this If you add some supporting text it will appear like this I hope that makes sense? Steve
Guest Paul Alexander
Hi @Steven Boardman Thanks...and I completely understand, however, what I'm hoping for is a way of adding some 'default text' to these nodes as probably 90% of the time, these nodes will be added for the same purpose (in our case I think it will be to add screenshots or photos which may help with the investigation of an issue). So, rather than type that in every time I add this node, I was hoping that I could have it added by default, but that it can be amended in the Pro Capt if needed. Is that any clearer? thanks
Steven Boardman
@Paul Alexander sure i understand now, unfortunately as you have found this capability isn't available, and this feature has been introduced to allow the enabling and configuring of the messaging on a node by node basis
