Victor Posted September 3, 2018 Share Posted September 3, 2018 Hi all In case you are not aware, from SM build 1306 there has been a segregation of roles between the core SM application and Portals. If you have custom roles build in your instance to grant specific rights on portal then you will have revise these once you update to SM build 1306: "New application rights have been added to Service Manager to allow granular control of visibility/use of the portals, removing the need to grant access to Service Manager core functionality for portal users. The new rights are grouped under the Self Service area of Application Rights against Roles, and have been added to all relevant out of the box application roles. If you are using custom roles in Hornbill to grant portal access, then these roles will need to be updated to replace existing application rights with the new set of rights." This matters and is important ONLY if you have custom roles configured in your instance for portal access otherwise this announcement is not for you. Any questions an/or queries please let us know.
