@AndyHodkinsonPrincesIT that application setting is only used if your requests are not associated with a service. If they are then the template used to send out emails from requests will be configured on the service:


It might be the case that the service on your requests is using the same template (as configured in the application setting) this is why changing that template worked for you ;)
