View - add Ticket summary

Hi

When an Incident or SR is added to the board, can the card also display the summary? At the moment it's just the reference number, and having the summary visible would make visual management much easier

Hi,

I've checked with the team that did the integration and the Summary should be displayed on the cards underneath the title, can I ask if the cards are being added through the interface or via BPM?

@Darren Rose last question before I am stumped. When you added the request to the board, did it already have a summary? Or was the summary edited/set after adding the request to the board?

@Ryan that's ok. It did have a summary at point of logging. What I've just tested is that if I add a ticket to a board from the ticket interface, it displays the summary. However, if I add it to the board when I'm logging it (as in the screenshot), then it doesn't.

@Paul Alexander are our summaries added after the ticket has been logged, so therefore adding to the board at this point is before the summary is populated?? Make sense??

@Darren Rose - no, these particular tickets have the summary and description taken at the point of logging. There's nothing in the BPM to update or change them....so adding to the boards at the point of logging SHOULD have all the info already.

If the request had a summary, then it should have been displayed in the confirmation, but that is missing from your confirmation @Darren Rose

So this would explain why it has no summary on the card in the Board.

In a build planned for later this month, the content of the card will display the current Summary of the request, rather than the value at the time the card was added.

Looks like there is an issue where the summary is missing if it is populated via a question form instead of the request details form in progressive capture.

Hopefully this will get fixed as well.
