System api key not linked to a user account

Recommended Posts

I would doubt it - an api connection can basically do everything a Full User could do, so to have one not attached to a user account would effectively be bypassing a license - additionally there would be no way of assigning a set of privileges, so it would have unrestricted super-user access. Which is kind of risky.

@MJanssen you could create a new user and name it something like AUTOMATIC_UPDATES and use that for your automation. Having that will mean that if that user let's say updates a request you will see that update in the timeline and you will know who did that. Many of our APIs require a user session and add to the timeline.

Daniel.
