SJEaton
Hi, I have a few Services set up where I want the Catalogue Items to only visible via the Service Desk. This has been set up fine but is there a way I can make the Service not visible on the portal? Sam
Steven Boardman
Hi @SJEaton For the services you don't want visible on the portal, if you switch the Portal Visibility toggle they will not appear on the portals. Regards Steve
SJEaton
Yes but when I do this they are not visible to select when you raise a request via the service desk (hornbill live)? Sam
Steven Boardman
Hi @SJEaton On each catalog item in these services you still need to set the visibility to ServiceDesk . These should then still show as options for your agents on live.hornbill but the service and catalog items should not be visible on the portal for customers I have tested this and it seems to work as expected for me, let us know if this is still not the case or if you are not seeing them now? SJEaton
This is what I've done. I'll need to take another look as for some reason I can't see the service anymore via the service desk if I switch portal visibility to off on the service. Steven Boardman
@SJEaton let us know know how you get on, another thing to check is if you have subscribed users to the service, and that when you are logging via the service desk that the customer you are logging for is subscribed to this service? also if the team you belong to supports the service, so has the rights to see this service when logging requests for a subscribed customer? SJEaton
OK I think it was the subscribers that was causing the issue, thanks Sam
