Lyonel Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Morning, I have a couple of questions regarding log files: - What is the lifespan of a single log file? - Where can I access a previous log file? When I use the log file viewer, it only searches within the current log file it seems. Indeed, when I download the log file I can see on the first row a reference to where is stored the previous log file. But the web screen does not access it.
TrevorKillick Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 @Lyonel Log files are kept on each instance for up to 24 hours and are automatically archived at Midnight UTC which is the log file line you see. Currently we do not have a mechanism to expose archived log files to our customers, they are kept as part of our Backups so they are not lost. Kind Regards Trevor Killick
Lyonel Posted June 15, 2017 Author Posted June 15, 2017 Thanks @TrevorKillick! In this case, what would be the best way to access an archived log file? Should I raise a support call?
Victor Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 @Lyonel may I ask why you need to access an archived log file?
Lyonel Posted June 15, 2017 Author Posted June 15, 2017 @Victor just to find out why a BPM did not start on creation of a few requests... making sure there is nothing I can do on my side before logging a call with you guys
Victor Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 @Lyonel I really like when customers try to help themselves but on this occasion I think is best to raise it with our support team https://www.hornbill.com/support/?request/
Lyonel Posted June 15, 2017 Author Posted June 15, 2017 Fair enough @Victor I shall raise a call then
Victor Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 @Lyonel you should have received some email regarding the issue you experienced. Just an FYI in addition to the emails, this is what is (or was) happening with the change requests you mentioned:
