  1. Apologies for a late response. Thank you so much for all your help @Steve Giller I have now requested out performance and reporting team to compile this report so that a report can be run as and when we wish to perform an audit.
  2. Thanks @Steve Giller I was hoping there would be a way of extracting the employee ID from the CMDB by creating a view in Asset Management and download the view created. Is there any way this can be a development instead of creating reports? Not every user on our Service Manager Instance has access to create reports, so when we do asset audits, we download for example laptop report by creating a view in Asset management then downloading. We get to select the "used by" field in that report but it does not provide their employee ID. When you are adding the user to an asset in Used by field, it does display their name and with their employee ID. Shame it does not provide the same info in the downloaded csv. Not sure if this can be considered as a development.
  3. Good morning, We create asset reports from CMDB that we download as csv. To do audits on assets, we also have the "used by" on the csv file. This provides the name of the user of the asset but does not provide the persons Employee ID. The problem arises when there are 2 or more people with the same name but different Employee ID - would it be possible to to make the csv download to also contain the asset user's employee id. This would really help when doing audits of assets especially when you have a number of employees with the same name like e.g. John Smith.
  4. Hi, Has there been any changes made to the layout of the Assets in Service Manager? I see that the fields have changed and there is an additional field called Functional Availability. I did check the latest announcements but could not see anything in there to suggest changes being made. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.
  5. Brilliant Thank you everyone for your help to answer my queiry.
  6. Just need to ask this forum if you are able to create a change automatically on a regular basis and how you would go about creating a BPM and intelligent capture to put this in place.
  7. Hi @Steve Giller Thank you for coming back so promptly - Yep - all good for searching serial number using the Asset View with the required columns displayed. In the Global Search, there is a possibility to Search by Tags or Search by Name/Description. I was wondering if there was a possibility include Search by Serial number. Not sure how many other customers may also want this so thought of asking.
  8. Since the Service Manager build 2632 - we have lost the ability to search the asset using a serial number when searching from the request list (See attached). Is it possible to include the ability to search for an asset using the serial number (see attached- can search using serial number be added?) Capture.MHT
  9. @Gerry Thank you and yes - you are right - that is exactly what I am asking. It is nice to see Changes that have occurred in the past (when you have set it in the Monthly view) but some users would like to know what changes are coming up in the next 30 days so that they can plan their change not to clash/impact with other changes. At present they have to use the arrows to move the calendar forward or backwords. I hope there are other users who would also like this view.
  10. When you go into the change Calendar in Service Manager, it defaults to the 1st of the month on the monthly view and Sunday to Saturday on the weekly view. We have received feedback that it would be nice to have the monthly view start on the day you view the calendar so that you can view 30 days in advance. We have checked to see if this is a change that can be performed on our instance but it looks like this is a global change. Not sure how many other customers have requested this but it would be good to confirm if this can be applied to our instance only or whether any other customers have requested this facility. Many thanks in advance.
  11. I'm trying to link multiple assets to a Service Request. If we have purchased e.g. 1000 laptops on a specific Service Request and these have been imported to the CMDB. How do I link all these assets without having to link them individually. I can perform a search for these assets in the Service Request by filtering on the order number but I have to click on each asset (1000 times) to link them to the SR. Is there a way to link them all in one go instead of clicking the link button on each asset?
