  1. Hi Lee - there are preset custom fields for various values you can map to. If you check here Mapping Fields from Customized Forms (hornbill.com) it will show the table of values. I have included a screen shot of one of my templates showing the mapping setup - you would just need to then map the data items you want to appear in the email template. The |empty value is to show no value if nothing is entered, otherwise it would just show the custom data field.

    Hope that helps !

  2. Hi Steve

Yes it is technically the definition of Copy but I was looking for some enhancement to the options when we clone. As Rob has suggested I would not offer this out to all users, but having this as an option at the Admin level would be beneficial for the scenario I laid out where copying a request uses the exsiting BPM. Whereas I have occassions where I fix an issue in the BPM that can not be overridden in the existing request so on this occassions I would like to copy request but be able to specify the BPM so that I can call the corrected BPM and not have the same error occur again

    Many thanks

  3. Hi All

I wanted to suggest a possible enhancement to the copy / clone request function please. I understand that at the moment if we clone a request it will call the previously used IC details / BPM. However, I wanted to request an enhancement if possible where we can choose the BPM to run the clone against please? Reason I ask is we often have a process that fails due to an error in the BPM configuration which is fixed by updating the BPM. However when we clone / copy I believe this calls the version it was raised against - what I wanted to ask is would it be possible to enhance the copy / clone feature so that we could choose the BPM to run against ? If its not possible no worries - our workaround is normally to raise the request internally for the customer calling the newly fixed / corrected BPM

    Many thanks as always

  4. Hi All

We have some changes where since it was raised the dates for implementation has changed. We write the schedule imp date to our card as it is raised which will then be discussed at the next CAB meet. How would we refresh the data set in the card to reflect the changed imp date? Could I setup a custom button perhaps to refresh it as I note we now have the custom button function now available in the board.

    Many thanks !

  5. Hi Martin

I note you have integer fields set on 2 of the data fields and using integer fields can cause issues. I know I have had several services where the custom data was not populating as we set an integer for a phone number incorrectly, and if an invalid value is entered into 1 field all custom fields will fail. For example your card limit field is set to 28 integer so if someone entered the card limit as 1000.00 this would fail as it is not a whole number. Do you write these fileds to the Details tab as part of the process and does the detail tab show any custom data populating or are all fields blank?

    Many thanks

  6. Hi Lee,

I can see the same in our IC's where we do not yet have the Systems or Data Processing Record asset types to select from in the drop down list. I know these 2 asset types were added last year mainly due to a push from us here at MSE to store System data as an asset value rather than using a simple list so I would presume these are still waiting to be added to the IC drop down options. Will have to let someone from Hornbill confirm my presumption here.

    Many thanks

  7. Hi All

The last couple of weeks I noticed a lot of users had lost their collaboration licence so on a couple of occassions I reset this via the back end to grant collaboration to all users. However when checking again today I can not see this role anymore in the Roles listed in the system? Has something changed around collaboration licencing that I have missed perhaps? We have a large number of authorisers who just have the collaboration role to allow them to authorise requests but when checking a sample of these users they do not have any collaboration role, but no one has reported any issues and I can see authorisations being processed.

    Many thanks

  8. Hi All

I note with my elevated rights in Hornbill I am able to Edit a timeline entry direct in the timeline, whereas normal Users in the system have to select Open Post then edit it on a second screen if desired. Is it possible to give the same function to my standard Users in Service manager to save them having to click through to a second screen to edit a post? I have had a quick scan over some roles I have but not sure where this Edit function sits

    I see this: image.png.e5d5c57029ddc3b20b33f80ddeeeb0b1.png

and the normal users see this:  image.png.d33060ebcd0094e66da517def48950c4.png

    Many thanks as always

  9. Hi All

I am looking to set a direct link to a document in the customer portal. The book mark link available in document manager refers to live.hornbill.com/mse and this of course is in the customer.hornbill.com/mse domain. I have the document working and available in the Document tab in the portal, and have pointed our external customers to that tab to use the document but ideally i want to put a direct link in the IC so is auto downloads the document like in the employee portal. Is it possible to do this? I tried the Wiki / Academy to read up on the customer portal but the links to that document appear broken.

Many thank as always (apologies I still can't see the Customer portal option in the Topic list)
