    But would be even better if the product did that for us with a nice set of pre-agreed icons for each different type of HA. @HGrigsby?

    +1

    I think maybe all the Standard Tasks should have (where applicable) pre-defined icons as well. Imagine placing a Start Timer node, and seeing a clock icon next to it at the top-left... (but allow the ability to override the icon.) or if placing a task with an expiry timer on it, a small hourglass icon appears at the bottom left)

  2. Good morning,

    I am just reporting that the Request Categories selection windows are narrower in the New UI. Please could the width increased to a wider fixed-value, or have the width increase dynamically based on the contents, but obviously restricted to a maximum width wider that what it currently is?

    This is what it looks like for us at the moment (these are the resolution categories) - the categories used to sit nicely within this window with no word breaks.

    Also, the word break needs to be addressed as well, it's odd having a break where the next line is further to the left of the first line.

    Thanks,

    Samuel

    I can see that on-hold requests are showing as greyed out again

    Oh that's strange, I'm not seeing the on-hold request being greyed out

    new requests and requests with an unread update being highlighted

    But I am seeing this
    image.thumb.png.7d327429e05c06b613601e9e5ea7e066.png
    (Using red to block out text was probably the wrong choice, but everything in that light blue/cyan sort of colour are unread updates)

    The first request on the list changed to the grey colour after I went into the ticket, but the second one is still showing as light blue/cyan even after I've gone into the ticket, so it's not consistent.

    Strange that you've got everything the other way around lol to what I see though. Hopefully someone from Hornbill can advise on what's going on.

  4. Thanks @Daniel Dekel

    • I am on Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.4170 as most of us are at the moment (hopefully not for long).
    • I am currently using Microsoft Edge for Business 123.0.2420.65 (the latest version).

    Page Pinning issue - no longer an issue?

    Regarding the page pinning issue, I duplicated the page I had the issue on and did a hard-refresh and strangely the hovering over the pin icon is working now on this duplicated page, even though I still have the page open where it wasn't working. I then hard-refreshed that page, and it is now working. Maybe I caught the sharp end of a glitch or maybe there was an issue related to the left navigation menu which resolved after I reordered it...

    Prior to the UI change, my Service Management icon was at the top of the left navigation menu, but after the switch, it moved to the bottom, and I had only just noticed it. (I generally use my Alt+2 shortcut to jump to the request list anyway, so I didn't notice until this morning) So, I changed the ordering of the left navigation menu shortly before your message above. I wondered if that fixed my issue or something.

    span in preview - no longer an issue?

    Strange enough, this issue is no longer apparent now as well - the spans are displaying in preview with no problems at all.

    I don't know what it is as both issues were apparent before I restarted my machine this morning, and afterwards...

    I must have had an Agent Smith moment that Neo was eventually able to sort out (Matrix reference).

    You may have heard of the elusive triple check; but I have achieved the Ultimate, tredeciquintuple check : r/AnarchyChess

    Thanks,

    Samuel

  5. Couple of issues in the new UI

    1. When logging a ticket in Service Manager <span></span> is not being rendered in the preview on the right-hand side. I haven't checked any other wiki markup elements apart from the [[ ]] links one, nor have I checked this in the Employee Portal yet.

      Here is an example:
      image.thumb.png.f9cac1559a533a6b2e4edeae1285a7f7.png

    2. The preview is severely truncated - please could we have a show more button or render the entire thing on the right-hand side
      image.thumb.png.ab868bd0d177543796a639f75e0c6c3a.png
  6. +1 to this sort of thing, but I think Hornbill are being careful as they would need to take into consideration the colours available being used on the different colour schemes.

    As these webapp.view.ITSM.serviceDesk.request.lists.****Colour settings are global settings that impact all users, the colour schemes are individual user settings so there mustn't be any conflicts.

    Would be good if these settings were tied to an individual user, instead of being a global setting though - I wonder if this is something that can be considered.

  7. Hi @Steve Giller,

    We're not on Windows 11 yet so it doesn't work the same way for us (we will eventually) that being said, apologies I didn't mention that I had already tried the windows 10 method, and it has a similar effect as pinning it to the sidebar in Edge as per my first screenshot above, except now I have less screen space because of the left and right bars on Edge also appearing - like so.

    image.thumb.png.55c85fdf16ebaa62318bd2d244344eec.png

    Hence my request an enhancement for a more simplified request list to be discussed... but maybe only to be displayed when not on the main request list, for example if I am inside a ticket or a board.

    Thanks!

  8. Good morning,

    I am one of the many unfortunates that can only hook up a single monitor to the laptop (high resolution though!) and I wanted to find a better way of being productive on one screen whilst working on a ticket in another screen... but at the same time being able to monitor the request list (those lucky 3+ monitor people!).

    So, I thought in Edge, I could try pinning the Request List to the sidebar... but it doesn't have the effect I was looking for :(

    image.thumb.png.667e98f8c8d0c3c2307b19929b67446f.png

    So, I would like to request an enhancement for a Simplified Request List to be added as a new option on the right-hand side of the screen:

    image.png.1a81c0d37ed1852f05037663e5e0737e.png

    • There need to be thought about where this sidebar would be available from within Hornbill

      • It would be great if the counter next to the icon shows a count of changes to the request list (ie. updates or new tickets)

    • It should be able to auto-refresh as well and inherit some of the functionality from the main request list (such as the ordering of columns, the highlighting of rows if a ticket has been updated etc)

    • I am thinking if we create "Views" within the Request List, we can choose which view to associate with the sidebar, so we can flick between them if we need to.

    • In addition to being able to use views from the main request list, I think other options should be available such as:

      • Requests List of same team (if the sidebar is open whilst viewing a ticket, selecting this will filter the sidebar request lists to open tickets the same team assigned to the currently opened ticket) Useful for seeing other tickets in the same queue

      • Request List of same service (if the sidebar is open whilst viewing a ticket, selecting this will filter the sidebar request list to open tickets from the same service)
        Useful for seeing other tickets in the same service

    Here is a mock-up of what I was thinking of:

  9. Good afternoon,

    I was looking to revisit the attachments archiver tool (https://github.com/hornbill/goRequestAttachmentArchiver?tab=readme-ov-file) and I was pleased to see that the tool now updates the timeline of requests. (Though I do wish we could specify the message ourselves, per conf)

    I then looked at the conf.json file and noticed a Services section that has not been documented anywhere.

    {
       "InstanceID": ""
       , "APIKeys": [
          ""
       ]
       , "AttachmentFolder": "C:/Temp/"
       , "Services": []
    }

    Please can someone advise on what should be here? I suspect it is a list of Service ID's, but it could be the Service Name and I just wanted to double-check before I run anything.

    Thanks,

    Samuel

    ps. This is great because then I can ensure that attachments from specific services goes into a specific folder, then I can do another conf with no Services define to pick up everything else and put them into a different folder.

    With the introduction of CH00179909 for the wiki help, can be adjusted at all, so that once you've typed what you want in the resolution box, for example, you can easily get to the Category view beneath the box, without needing to do an extra click in the white space to get to the category options?

  11. Hi @SamS and @Joshua Howitt,

    Good news, adding in memberof as an attribute made it work, yay!

    docs.hornbill.com doesn't make this clear (at least how I'm reading it) so might be worth updating it to reflect this?

    Also I didn't need to include each of the memberOf in the main LDAP Filter, I just needed the one that references users who are in the Members group, and it was still able to iterate through each of the Groups the user was a "memberof" and check if they are a part of any of the ones specified in the Data Import Config, and if there is a match, then associate them with that Org.

    Thanks for both of your help!
